A path shaped by daily practice, transmission and a commitment to teaching Aikido to adults and children.
Pablo Durán began practising Aikido in December 2002 in Jaén under Jacinto Camacho. His interest in Seishiro Endo's work led him to international seminars and, in Toulouse, to Franck Noël, who became his principal teacher.
He moved to Toulouse in March 2009. For six and a half years he practised daily at Dojo de la Roseraie, including a period as an uchideshi. From 2011 he began covering classes for Franck Noël and other teachers during their travels and absences.
In 2015 he moved to Lisbon to teach professionally. In February 2016 he opened Dojo da Luz, offering regular classes for adults, children and teenagers.
2002
He starts Aikido with Jacinto Camacho and encounters the teaching of Seishiro Endo.
2009–2015
He lives in Toulouse, practises daily with Franck Noël and spends a period as an uchideshi.
2011
He begins leading classes at Dojo de la Roseraie when its teachers are away.
2013
He visits Saku Dojo and Tokyo Aikikai Hombu Dojo during a month-long study trip.
2014
He works with the children's teacher and develops specific teaching methods for younger students.
2016
He opens a Lisbon dojo dedicated to regular Aikido teaching for adults and children.
Alongside daily practice in Toulouse, he attended seminars with Franck Noël in France, Spain and elsewhere in Europe, and followed teachers connected to Seigo Yamaguchi's approach, including Seishiro Endo, Masatoshi Yasuno, Tsuruzo Miyamoto, Christian Tissier and Bernard Palmier.
He also attended écoles des cadres led by Franck Noël and Bernard Palmier, focusing on examining practice, building teaching sequences and adapting instruction to different audiences.
His experience combines intensive practice, pedagogical training and regular teaching.
At Dojo da Luz he teaches adults, children and teenagers, aiming to transmit what he received with clarity, attention and respect for each practitioner's pace.
His work remains connected to the international community through seminars and practice gatherings.
